Advantages: Very tasty, delicious, A bit different to other chocolates
Disadvantages: None
'Maltesers' are tasty little sweets, that make a nice change from just ordinary chocolate bars. They are small round chocolate balls, which contain a malty honeycomb-like centre, and are also very tasty! The pakaging for 'Maltesers' consists of a pictures of the Maltesers, on a bright red coloured background. The logo on the packet is of large white lettering, almost covering most of the front side of the packet/box. On the back of most packs, it gives you the nutrional Information (see below). You also don't get that many Maltesers in a small packet, but there are quite a few more of the boxes, which can make an ideal present for people who like chocolate ( and who doesn't?!). The Maltesers taste a bit malty, but also very sweet, while the chocolate coating on each one is quite thin, but also smooth and tasty. The centre of a Malteser is also a bit crumbly, like a biscuit, and gives it a nice texture. Nutritional Information (per 37g pack):- Energy: 179Kcal/750KJ Carbohydrate: 22.8g Fat: 8.5g Protein: 2.9g Ingredients in Maltesers:- Sugar, skimmed milk powder, cocoa butter, glucose syrup, malt extract, cocoa mass, vegetable fat, lactose, whey powder, milk fat, wheat flour, emulsifiers, hydrogenated vegetable fat, gelling agent, raising agent, salt, flavouring. How Much do they cost and other info. Malteser's are made by Masterfoods, and come in several different size packets available, ranging from 37g and 175g bags, up to various size boxes, such as 135g. Small bags can cost around 39p each, and the larger 175g bags cost about £1.39 each; small 135g boxes cost around £1.30. There are also some 'spin-off' Malteser products that have been available more recently, such as Malteser Ice cream and a Malteser hot chocolate drink. My overall opinion is that Maltesers are nice tasty sweets, that make a change from chocolate bars, of which there are a grea
t deal of already. They are tasty, if a bit sickly after eating lots of them, so I prefer to buy the 37g smaller bags for this reason! I'd say that pretty much anyone will like Maltesers, as they are very tasty and moreish; if you haven't had them before, what are you waiting for? :-)
