Intro ------ I had this stuff last week after a hard day out at the football. We had lost and i returned back to Leeds city train station short of luck and with a massive hunger urge. I popped in to the M and S simply food and was looking at all the sandwiches and things when this caught my eye. I remember having it about 4 ... Read the complete review

I am the most inept cook in the world and live off of ready meals and stuff that can just be shoved in the oven. I bought some of this mash on impulse one night (fancied it with some sausages) because the thought of peeling, chopping, boiling and mashing potatoes myself just filled me with dread. I have to say this is the most amazing ... Read the complete review

If anyone asks me, my favourite meal is salad and mash. I love to put a massive pile of rocket on a plate, accompany it with cucumber, tomato and avocado and put an equally massive pile of mash potato alongside it. I've no idea why this is my favourite meal, it just tastes sooo good and that's the way I like it. Heading home tonight after a 12 ... Read the complete review

Great consistency, very buttery, easy to microwave (cant oven it) but something about it just felt too rich for me - the caloris detail backed this up! Great for bangers and mash for the men but possibily a treat for the slimming ladies, especially as it tastes quite stodgy. Try it but Waitroses is much better!

M&S Ultimate Potato Mash is sold in the chilled/firdge department and is priced at £1.99 for a 450g portion. It comes in ... Read the complete review

To me mashed potato is one of the ultimate comfort foods. It is great in winter - great with sausages and onion gravy but also adds a warm comforting feel to any meal. The only problem is.... I can never seem to get all of the lumps out when i make it myself. My grandad makes pretty good mashed potato and he mashes it first and then ... Read the complete review

The humble spud. A staple in many a diet. There are so many ways to cook it and one of my favourites is mashed potato. But I'm very fussy, especially in how I like my mash. I don't like it lumpy. Or unseasoned. Or dry. Just nice and smooth and creamy. You'd think it'd be easy to make it the way I like it. So far I haven't ... Read the complete review
