Advantages: Delicious at any age. Affordable. Rich in History.

Disadvantages: If i were to be picky id say the 25cals per pig other then that NONE.

Marks and Spencers is home to good food, fact. Many people shop, enjoy and pretty much live under the marks and spencers roof, and dont blame them. Offering a wide variety of food, drink, books, toys and homeware goods, the chain of stores have many loyal fans. After writing as if i too wander round the packed streets of the supermarket, i must admit that i do not shop there as the prices are above what i can afford to pay at this present time. However that does not stop me from having a peek at whats on offer in the food world. This is when I first stumbled across the Percy Pig. At first I could not believe that this little pig smiling back at me, would soon become one of the greatest sweets i have ever eaten. The packs of percy pigs come as follows:

100grams-£0.79
200grams-£1.19
350grams-£2.29

After buying the 100 gram bag i couldnt stop myself from eating the whole bag in a matter of minutes, they were trully that good.

The sweets are described on the front of the packet as 'soft gums made with fruit juice' Therefore have no artifical flavourings or added colours, making them a more healtier choice if you are buying sweets. They are indeed very soft and chewy and it is almost impossible to eat just one! The ears of the pig are slightly less chewy then the rest, which overall adds variety.

The History of the Pig is too a juicy one, with some explaining that Percy pigs reach as far back as the First World War.

Marks and Spencers due to the success of Percy pig has now created a whole range for Percy pig alone, recently bringing out new sweets such as Percy piglets, which are either the jelly ear piece of a Percy pig or the cheewy face. Also Percy pig and pals, which extend the list of flavours Percy pig comes in. Not only this though, you can even buy Percy pig money jars, egg cups and teddies.

These sweets are fantastic whether they are for a young one (like my little brother(who too loves them)) or just for yourself to indulge in, you will find it hard not to eat the full bag. Therefore, I higlhy recommend them.

N.B. At time of writing, M&S are having a buy one get one half price offer.

Summary: The best and most loved sweet in the UK

I love Percy Pig, I tried Panny Pig last weekend and they were good too (lemon flavour).
