thehonesttruth Marks and Spencer Operetta: ... aint seen nothing yet! I don t normally shop in Marks and Spencers , but today I went past and saw a queue outside the shop . Never one to miss out on the action, I asked someone what the queue was for, and was told the store were running a Penny Bazaar, offering items at a penny to celebrate 125 years . I joined the queue, got in, and spent 5p on a selection of items, and as I was leaving, spotted a little f...

grey0220 Marks & Spencer Percy Pigs
... best friend s father was English but she was born and raised in the US. She always brings an extra suitcase with her when she comes to visit London, as she always leaves with an excess amount of English chocolates and candies - Cadbury s is simply better than its US equivalent, Hershey s, and there are no suitable substitutes for Rowntree Fruit Pastilles, either. The one candy, though, that she buys from the beginning of her trip to the end of her trip, which causes her to madly dash to M&S before her flight to re-stock as she s already eaten her supply, that she insists I bring back to her every time I fly home, are Percy Pigs. I have experienced a similar single-...

xxfoxyredxx Marks & Spencer Medium Sliced Super Soft White Loaf
... out shopping recently in our town centre my Mother called me and said will you get a loaf of bread. In Coventry we have very little choice in way of places to get a loaf from at short notice and I was stood outside Marks & Spencers at the time so it made sense for me to run in and grab a loaf in there! They had so many varieties I got a bit lost but in the end this costing about £1.15 grabbed my attention so I bought it. The Packaging: Long white and clear plastic wrapper with a dash of burgundy blocks of colour on it. I m told it is Marks & Spencers Medium Sliced Super Soft White Bread Made with the best quality white flour for an exceptionally soft loa...

... have to say I have not enjoyed these and will not be buying them again. They are good value at £2.50 for four, and the packaging is retro and kitsch and looks good in the cupboards! You get four cakes in the box and they are well packaged so they dont fall over and squish in the box. They are visually fabulous - light thin paper, soft yellow sponge peeking out from the top, baby pink icing and sparkly sprinkles which are edible and safe for children to eat. Biting into them though however is where the perception changes. The buttercream topping is expected to be rich, but it is very VERY sweet, so much so that you would only want to eat half before you feel sickly. A...
