Marks & Spencer Dark Chocolate Jaffa Cakes ... cakes are a regular item on my shopping list so I have tried a number of different makes from McVites to shop brands. However, on a recent trip to Llandudno I called in at the M&S to get some basic groceries for when we returned home. One item was obviously jaffa cakes . M&S were selling two packets of 125g each for £1.29 of their own make of Jaffa Cakes. The jaffa cakes come in a cardboard box that is mainly orange with white writing depicting "Marks and Spencer Dark Chocolate Jaffa Cakes". Marks & Spencer Count on Us Lemon & Ginger Chicken ... decided that my derailed weight loss efforts should get back on track, and just to make things easier for myself I picked up a few ready meals at M&S. Among their count on us range, I found the Lemon & Ginger Chicken with fluffy basmati rice. The list of ingredients is impressively detailed, and I recognised each and every one as an item I would happily store in my kitchen cupboard or fridge. Each meal contains 420 calories, 6.8g sugar, 7.6g fat , 2.8g sat fat, 1.50g salt and even lists it as 6 ½ points based on the Weight Watchers points scale. Marks & Spencer Count on Us Chocolate Mousse ... been on a bit of a diet kick lately, we bought these instead of ice-cream, Cadburys, cakes, the usual sweet treats. These mousses are a perfect size for the lunchbox, or a quick after dinner treat. The lid states the mousse is made with real chocolate, which seemed a bit anti-diet but at only 85 calories per portion and 1.9g fat Marks & Spencer seemed to have discovered how to make chocolate healthy (okay healthy is a bit of a push, but anything that puts it back on my allowed list is good enough for me!).
