Marmite is one of those things that you either love or hate. It has a really unique taste that some adore, but others detest. Personally, I think it´s ok. It´s nothing special to me, but nice to have every now and then on some buttered bread or toast.

It comes in small jars, although I think you can get squeezable bottles now too. It is very easy to buy - you can find it in most supermarkets and shops and costs around £1.09 for a small jar. The Marmite logo is on the front and it mentions it is a yeast extract.

I think marmite only tastes good with certain things. If you don´t have enough butter on your bread or toast and spread marmite on it, then the marmite will over-power the bread/toast and ruin it. It has a pretty strong taste, so beware of this. I think it tastes great with a cheese and pickle sandwich or on buttered toast.

The actual taste itself is hard to describe. It has a rather pungent smell and a strong taste. There is a somewhat sweet essence in the taste too. I would recommend you try it as it is unique and good for you.
