Advantages: A great tasting spread

Disadvantages: Not everyone loves it.

I love Marmite and make sure there is always a jar in the cupboard. I'm really boring and mainly eat it spread on toast for breakfast. But I've been known to be adventurous and eat it at lunch time! Seriously it is something you can have anytime of the day, as a snack or you can add it to stews and casseroles to enhance the taste. I also like it on a sandwich with strong chedder cheese. Some people even mix it with hot water as a drink but I have never tried it like that and think that it would put me off it.

I think that Marmite is the one food that people have a very strong opinion about and you either love it or hate it. I don't think you can sit on the face about this one.

Marmite sells in most shops and supermarkets and currently sells in Tesco at £1.11 for 125g, £3.77 for 500g and £2.58 for 200g in the squeezy jar. You can also get it containing champagne, which I have not tried.

They have branched out and you can now get Marmite Adult Rice Cakes and Marmite Adult breadsticks. I have tried the breadsticks which I thought were tasty and really enjoyed. As they only have a subtle Marmite taste I was able to eat the bag in one go. These retail at Tesco at 59p each for 30g.
