You either hate it or you love it! Yes its marmite! I absolutely adore the stuff! Whether on toast, a tasty bit of crumpet, in a sandwich or just on its own, its great and is addictive stuff. The marmite itself comes in a small pot with a unique yellow lid that stands out. Marmite has been ... Read the complete review

Marmite has been a staple in my diet since I was a child, and I seriously cannot get enough of it! It is true that you either love it to the point of obsession or you absolutely loathe and detest it, and when looking at it it's easy to see why! It's hardly the most attractive of condiments, however it's possibly one of the most ... Read the complete review

Well, everybody says it, you love it or hate it. Personally, I love it, with my favourite being a great big buttery crumpet topping with a little marmite. Not so that It's over powering but just enough to give it a hint of flavour. The gooey black sticky substance also makes great stock and flavouring for dishes such as chile con ... Marmite is a spread able food usually used on toast, crumpets and bread etc. It has quite a strong and unique taste which is desired by many people but is equally detested by a lot of consumers. The main ingredient in marmite is yeast, a by product of the brewing industry. It is also very nutritious and good for you as it is full of ... Read the complete review

They say with MArmite you either love it or hate it, and I fall into the camp of the latter I'm afraid. I just don't see the appeal of the thick, gloopy bitter paste with a pungent yeasty smell, and find it sacrilege to suggest I ruin my buttered toast by spreading a layer all over it. Every now I'll get curious and I'll have a taste ... Read the complete review

I'm such a marmite fiend that I not only always have it in my cupboards at home, but I also have to keep a jar at work too. Many a time have I slyly pushed my drawer closed as my colleagues approach my desk- firstly in case they think I am obsessive for having marmite in my desk, but secondly because I fear they may want to share ... I am a big fan of marmite. It does seem to be generally true that people either love it or hate, I don't know many people that are ambivalent about it but I'm definitely on the 'love it' side! Marmite is made from yeast extract and its flavour is quite difficult to explain. I suppose it tastes a little like soy sauce and smells like beer does when ... Read the complete review

Marmite. As the advertising goes you either love it or hate it. Well as for me I love it. What is Marmite? Marmite is a by product of beer production and has been made since 1902. Marmite is a yeast based concentrated vegetable spread although not appealing to look at as it is a very dark ... Read the complete review

Marmite, the most glorious product on earth, packed full of vitamins and absolutely cannot be replaced with a cheaper version. Originally a waste product from the brewing industry, marmite has been around years, it is a thick tar like substance tasting slightly yeasty and just a little bit salty. Spread it thinly on toast to ... Read the complete review

Marmite's good. Just try and deny it. Despite what their marketing campaign would want you to believe, the "love it or hate it" slogan is pretty wrong - I've never met anybody who claims to love it, but plenty who don't mind it and will have it if there's nothing better available. I'm one of those people. Best had on bread ... Read the complete review

Hello! Introduction This is my first food review so bare with me! I thought that I would choose something that I know inside out so hopefully it will be a good review! I chose Marmite! I grew up eating Bovril. The delicious essence of beef that I would spread onto bread, put in to porridge and then stir it and I would look forward to eating porridge because of bovril. When mad cow disease started, the sale of Bovril overseas was stopped and my supply was cut off. My mother thus had the bright idea of using a substitute for my ... Read the complete review

Mealtimes would be a sorry affair without my mate Marmite. As an expat I import large quantities for personal use via friends and relatives when they come and visit. I've even manged to convert the odd person over here to the brown, gooey goodness, but in general I receive stares of wonder and slight disgust when spreading it on my lunchtime ... Is marmite the most controversial foodstuff ever? Their clever but brave advertising slogan, you either love it or hate it split the nation. And even 'being a bit like Marmite' is now a phrase in itself meaning you will either love of hate something. All this hype takes nothing away front what a great product it is. Yep, I'm in the love ... Read the complete review

Marmite is quite possibly one product more famous for the fact that you either love it or hate it than for what it actually is. Marmite is a thick, dark spread designed for being spread on toast. It is a yeast extract product that is a by-product of the brewing process, but is alcohol free and also suitable for vegetarians. There are ... Read the complete review

In terms of the whole love it - hate it classification of folks with regard to their relationship with Marmite, I'm definitely in the 'love it' camp. I love marmite but I can understand why some people would hate it as it has got a very strong acquired taste. Marmite comes in a dark glass jar in several sizes and it now also comes in a squeezy jar. It lasts for ages as you don't need to use much in one go; in fact it tastes better if you don't I think. Marmite is full of B vitamins ... Read the complete review
