I had a Mars Bar this morning with my tea for the first time in ages. Usually I'm more of a Snickers man but fancied a change today. The one I had was a snack pack size one because I bought one in to share around with the lads (we do this most days when we work together) and it cost £2 for 10 medium sized bars.


The first thing you notice about a Mars Bar is just how strongly it smells of chocolate when you unwrap it. It's really potent and you just want to sink your teeth in immediately! Mars Bars are really thick so when you do take a bite, you get a good sized mouthful with every bite.


I love the texture of Mars Bars. They're layers of soft chocolate nougat with a stream of caramel and a thick milk chocolate coating. Definetely not one for everyday eating because they're really sickly and very high in fat. I definetely recommend the snack size versions though because although they're just as indulgent, they're quite a bit smaller than the individual full size bars you buy in the shops so you're not stuffing yourself to quite such an extent!


They're around 55p in my local corner store for the regular sized ones which is the going rate for a chocolate bar. Much better value to buy them in multi packs from the supermarket providing you have the self control not to sit and polish off the pack in a day!

Summary: It was a good tea break.
