Advantages: Nice caramel, fills you up

Mars Bars have been around forever, and despite many other chocolate bars coming and going, the Mars is the one that people seem to keep buying, and I think that is why I think it is a bit boring these days. That does not mean to say that it does not taste great, but I would never take a while looking atall the chocolate on the shelf just to settle for a Mars bar. In my opinion it is just 'there' and I usually only eat these when they are part of a multipack of chocolates.

Mars has always had that same logo, of red and gold writing on a black background. Thismakes it instantly recognisable. Mars Bars are nougat and caramel, covered with chocolate. It is a very filling bar and usually one bar satisfies the appetite, but not always the tastebuds.

The bottom layer of the bar is called nougat, but I would say it was more of a light whipped nougat, the sort you would find in a Milky way but slightly thicker. This has a slightly caramel sweet flavour. This is topped with a layer of caramel, which is soft and slightly chewy with an ever so salty sweet flavour. The cocolate surrounding this is mars chocolate, which has a milky flavour. The flavour does not really hit you hard, and can just seem like a bar of sweetness, rather than any exact flavour that stands out.
Bars cost from 45p to 65p and also some in a King size, duo or fun size, with a really small bar in boxes of miniature heroes.

Although I enjoy eating Mars Bars, they are not my first choice and have no real character. This does not make it bad though.
