Advantages: quick engery boost
Disadvantages: high in calories
As you can properly tell from my reviews I am a big food fan but I love my chocolate.
Mars bars when invented in 1932 by Forrest Mars (whose father was an American candy maker). Mars was a kind of chocolate bar that has not really been seen in Britain at the time as most of the chocolate then were solid bars.
A Mars bar is made up of nougat and caramel covered in milk chocolate. The packaging of a Mars bar is black with strong red writing on it say the words Mars. In 2006 the word Mars on the packaging of a mars bar was changed to believe with original mars in smaller letters underneath. This was to support the England national football team. This did not go down well in Scotland.
Mars come in different size multi packs and they work out at better value also you can get the mars duo which is a reform of the king size mars bar.
For me a mars bar is the perfect energy food if I have been running round after the children and haven't had time to eat and mars bar keeps me going (this is not an indulant snack for me)
Mars bars melted with a little butter then mix with rice crispies make the most perfect rice crispie cakes, chocolaty and chewy (after writing this I now really want some)
a 58 gram bar contains 259 calories
Summary: for me these are good as a meal replacement
