Advantages: awesome taste, really good value for money, multipacks available, promotional packs are available
Disadvantages: none.
Mars Bar is possibly the best selling and best known chocolate bar on sale in the UK. What makes up the Mars Bar is a very unique recipe which I will go into later on. Mars Bars have a great taste to them and they are probably my number 1 choice for non, pure chocolate bars (= twixes, milky Ways, fudges, mars bars, toffe crisp etc.). And its no wonder too...
Taste
The taste in Mars Bars is outstanding. There is simply nothing else like it out on the market. Nothing comes even close to it in terms of taste and the idea. The Mars Bar is made up of nougat, covered in caramel and then the whole thing covered in milk chocolate. Together comes the Mars Bar we have today. For me, the most prominent taste in the bar is the caramel. Although, I suppose all of them add together to make the final taste, So together you get quite a soft, great tasting chocolate bar type thing.
Appearance and Price
In terms of appearance, the Mars Bar tends to be long and reasonably thin (width wise). Although in terms of width, the Mars Bar is quite chunky which is a good thing. In 2002, the packaging made a change for the better and now we see the new redesigned logo with the typcial red and black colour schemes. Over the years Mars have also run quite a few competitions with the Mars Bar. The most recent encouraging sport by putting winning codes in certain bars. These codes can then win you footballs, rugby balls etc. In terms of price, Mars Bars cost the same as any other confectionery item out there today. This is of course, around about 50p, which is very good value for the amount of eating you get in them. Multipacks are available too in packs of 4 or more. In Iceland they sell for 4 Mars Bars (multipack) for £1 which I think is fantastic value for money. Thats haf price on the seperate cost.
So overall, Mars Bar is a very good product that has a great taste and price in it which is reflected in there long standing repuatation.
