Advantages: Good for energy

Disadvantages: A bit boring taste

A mars bar is in my mind quite boring, but I will eat one if I feel hungry rather than other chocolate bars which I eat as a treat.

The chocolate bar comes in a black wrapper with 'Mars' written in red, it has been this way for as long as i can remember.

Mars bars are packed with sugar, which is good for energy, but bad for the waistline. I used to eat them quite a lot when I used to do a lot of swimming, the lifeguards would give you mars bars to eat whilst swimming long distances.

You can expect to pay around 40 to 50 pence for a Mars bar, depending on where you go. They also do a king size Mars bar, which you can be paying up to £1.00 for.

The chocolate bar itself has quite a thick coating of milk chocolate on the outside, with a caramel, nougat and almond centre.

When you bite into the chocolate bar, the caramel is quite stringy and the nougat and almond part of the centre is soft and chewy, but would melt too easily in the sun.

If I were to buy a chocolate bar, I would not usually purchase one of these unless it was for an energy boost. There are much nicer chocolate bars out there.

Summary: Much nicer chocolate out there

They last longer in the mouth if you keep a bar in the fridge for an hour before eating - if you can that is.
