Advantages: Good taste, reasonably good value.

Disadvantages: Too sweet for some, can be a challenge to finish.

Writing a review on the classic Mars bar seems quite a daunting task. I would imagine that essentially everyone reading this review has tried one several times, so most people have already formed an opinion about it long ago. However, for those few people out there who are interested in a second opinion before making the plunge, I can offer the following advice:

Having not eaten a Mars in several years, when I tried one recently the first thing that struck me was how sweet they were. It is probably due to a maturing palette that I did not notice the sweetness when I was younger, but I can certainly see how the flavour may be a little sweet, even sickly for some. I would recommend not eating it too quickly, as the sweetness can be quite overwhelming. Other than that it is still a great tasting bar, with the chocolate, caramel and nougat combining to give that nostalgic flavour.

In conclusion, you have probably already tried a Mars many times, but if not I highly recommend that you give it a go. It is a classic for a reason, and for many it is a favourite. Also something you have to try at some point in your life is a battered Mars bar, but that's a different story altogether...
