Advantages: Nice tasting.
Disadvantages: Loaded with calories
Another quality chocolate bar provided by Mars. Mars by name, Mars by nature. The Mars bar was first introduced in 1932 and has not changed since.
What is a Mars bar?
A Mars bar is basically a Snickers bar minus the layer of peanuts. The body of the Mars bar consists of a nice chewy nougat with a layer of sweet caramel on top. The whole bar is then completely covered by Milk chocolate.
Bit into the bar and your mouth is awash with flavours. The chocoalate soon melts in your mouth whilst the chewy nougat and smooth sweet caramel combine as you chew. The bar has a lovely chewy texture to it, but not too chewy as to clog up your mouth.
Packaging and cost:
The Mars bar is wrapped in it's familiar totally black wrapper on the front of which is the name 'Mars Bar' written in red lettering with gold edging. No mistaking this mother of all bars.
Mars bars are usual sold as single units which weigh in at approximately 58g. A single bar costs in the region of 37p and they can also be bought in packs of 5 which current sell for £1.60 at Asda. Asda are also doing a multi buy saving, so you can two 5 packs for £2.50.
Verdict:
A quality chocolate bar full of flavour and texture. Lives up to the familiar caption, 'A Mars a day helps you work, rest and play'
Summary: Nice sized tasty snack family favourite
