Mars........out of this world! (Mars Bar)

There comes a time every so often when only a mars bar will do the trick. Well last wednesday this time came.
Out at the shops and fancied a sweet treat. Yes i often fancy them. my craving at the time was for chocolate, but a bar, not a bag, so the first thing which caught my eye was the MARS BAR! Yum! i thought, not had one in a while, must purchase.


The bar was 62.5g and cot me 40p. This price will vary, depending on where you purchase. In my opinion 40p is quite a good price. Looking at the back of the packaging undernieth the flap, it told me that each br contained 284 calories (WOOOW) and 11.1g of fat. Definitly only for a special occasion, or for someone (like me) who is not watching there weight.


The packaging is pretty dull.. but stnads out from the rest for some reason. The wrapper is all black, with red MARS BAR witten on in huge writing.


On unwrapping the wrapper, a sweet chocolate smell is given off. Quite impressive, as i get closer to the bar, i take a nother sniff, and woooow, the chocolate smell is actually quite strong. Making my stomach rumble!

So i bite off the end of the chocolate bar and wooow...an explosion in my mouth. First the chocolatey taste, the mars taste, yum. Next, i am faced with a sweet, yet creamy caramel, which melts on my tongue, and finally after the chocolate and caramel has melted, i am left with a soft noguat, which is very nice.

After taking my first bite, i look at the bar, its been a while since ive payed any attention to its looks, its usually in my gut before i can even think about it, but since i thought i would write a review, i thought it would be a good idea.
The bar is made of three layers, the top layer is a generous amount of chocolate. Underneith is again a generous layer of caramel, a darkish golden colour, underneith is the soft noguat, light brown in taste, and underneith ( i dont classify this as a layer) is a thin layer of chocolate.


I would definitly reccomend having a mars bar..perhaps not to the weight watchers out there, but for anybody who is a great fan of chocolate, and sweets, its one for you!
