The mars bar is probably one of the most well known chocolate bars ever made. You see them in sweet shops, school tuck shops, supermarkets, vending machines, tv advertisements, Christmas selection boxes, celebrations and the list goes on. Mars bars are everywhere.

Eating a mars bar on its own is nice enough but another thing I like making is mars bar sauce. Put 2 large mars bars in a pot, heat it up on the hob, add some milk, give it a quick stir and melt them into a delicious sauce that tastes great with some ice cream on top. This is still my favourite dessert to this day. The taste of the chocolate and caramel melting on your tongue is just lush.

When I was at school it was always a choice between a Mars bar and snickers (marathon bar back then) and the mars bar was always my choice between the two. As far back as I can remember I don't think the packaging has ever been changed and still looks the same as it did years ago.
