Advantages: creamy, classy

Disadvantages: a copy of other chocolate

As I am sitting here waiting to write my review I can honestly say I have not yet tried this chocolate so my opinion on here is my live tasting of Mars Delight. I have heard so many positive comments on this chocolate bar from people. I am not really that big a fan of Mars because usually I feel a Mars bar is too heavy and often sickly but I am expecting this to be lighter.

The packaging is a light, warm creamy colour. It has a spiral shape behind the bold red Mars logo and a picture of the chocolate on the side which from appearance resembles a Twirl. On the packaging there are ingredients. The packaging is quite simple but with a fun touch to it. It is appealing and I would probably pick it out from many because it is light whereas most chocolate bar wrappers are dark with bold writing or bright but not just cream coloured.

As I slowly unwrap the paper, out pops the first half of the chocolate the top is a ridged, rippled effect. It is milk chocolate. As I take the first bite I am surprised by the taste a crispy sound. It is not just flaked chocolate but it is like a crispy wafer on the arch with chocolate underneath. From what is shown on the wrapper you would think it would be like a Flake but it is nothing like it but even better. There is a slight taste of Mars but it really doesn't taste a lot like it.

The chocolate does not taste as light as I expected, every bite seems quite heavy and after finishing the chocolate I do feel like I could not eat anything else at this moment. It is enough for a snack because it just takes away the hunger.

I am sure the bar costs 37p but I bought it in a back of 5 for £1.30. This chocolate is on offer at the moment in many places. At my local cinema I noticed if you were to buy a hot drink you would get a Mars Delight free which was a good offer. This is a great new release from Mars who have never really had much variation to their bar and it will probably earn them a lot of money.

I found it quite strange that when looking through most reviews on this bar it was mainly 3 or 2 out of 5 it was given. Maybe some people just think it is too much of a change for Mars. The chocolate reminded me a little of a Kinder Bueno but not as successful as that. I don't think Mars have been completely original with the idea however, it does remind me of something I have tasted before.

The Mars Delight can be bought at any food places and should not be more than 40p because they are taking too much for it.

I've bought a few of these before, and they're ok, but in my opinion they're a bit sickly. Good review. :-)
