Another amazing product from Galaxy (Mars Galaxy Caramel)

Advantages: Lovely smooth consistency which melts in the mouth

Several years ago the Galaxy brand followed in the footsteps of Dairy Milk and branched out a bit in terms of fillings for their chocolate bars. One of the results of this was the Galaxy Caramel bar, which comes in a traditional brown packaging, with a caramel-coloured wave along the top.

This is one of my favourite chocolate bars around. You buy them in most newsagents for about 60p (for 48g) and for that price you get two fingers of Galaxy Caramel, each of which is split into three easy-to-eat segments. There are 116 calories in each stick, so at a whopping 232 per pack you are not doing your diet any favours.

The bar itself is basically Galaxy chocolate, filled with deliciously smooth caramel. The thing I love about this the most is that the caramel is quite runny, rather than the harder types you get in something like Cadbury Caramel bars. When you bite into it the caramel stretches and it's this consistency which makes it really melt-in-the-mouth. Galaxy chocolate is also really sweet, and the combination of Galaxy chocolate plus caramel may be too sweet for some. But as the bar is relatively small, you can eat it without feeling too bad. Any more though and I think I would start to feel a bit sick.

Overall though, this is the nicest caramel-filled chocolate I have ever tasted. Far nicer than Cadbury Caramel in my opinion.

Summary: It is very sweet and sometimes I think I can feel a toothache coming on just from eating it.
