About Galaxy Minstrels:
OK, so what are Galaxy Minstrels: Now these are quite simply chocolate. They come with a hard brown outer coating with lovely soft chocolate centre. The chocolate centre is a lovely Galaxy creamy centre.
Galaxy Minstrels are all part of the Mars Inc range of products which includes Celebrations, Mars and many other excellent snacks.
Minstrels come in all different sizes and packs. From the small 33g packs that are perfect for a small treat to 100g packs that are OK to share (or eat alone if you are a chocoholic!).
My Opinion:
Now I must admit that I just Love Minstrels. They are by far and away my favourite chocolate (only thing else that comes close would be Flakes!). I should highlight that I am not a large chocolate lover, and indeed hardly ever actually eat much chocolate. But when I do, it is usually to these lovely Minstrels that I turn to.
Why?
Well firstly I just find that they have an excellent taste. The combination of a hard outer crust / shell which you have to bite through to get to the creamy Galaxy chocolate centre is lovely. That first taste of the creamy chocolate is just awesome! For all you chocolate lovers out there, you should be eating these !!!!!
You can also of course suck them and get to the chocolate that way, but I can never resist biting into that shell!
I find that these go really well with a nice cup of tea (how British is that !) The combination of nice chocolate and hot tea goes really well together and makes an excellent snack for mid morning, early evening - or whenever you are hungry or have a chocolate craving!
Another aspect that I do like is that your hands do not generally get dirty from Minstrels. Due to the hard outer shell they don't melt in your hands very quickly and are therefore a much better than other chocolate.
I have to eat my Minstrels straight from the Fridge - therefore really cold - as this highlights the excellent difference between the hard shell and creamy chocolate. Having said that they are still nice when eaten at Room Temperature. Depends on what you prefer really!
I am trying to think up any drawbacks for this product and am struggling. One thing to mention is that the Ingrediants list does state that the product May contain Nuts but I do not know how likely that is to be true as most products seem to include that warning. If you are allegic to Nuts then I would recommend that you check this out further before eating Minstrels.
All in all, Minstrels are just some of the nicest creamiest chocolate ever and I fully recommend these to anyone who needs a chocolate fix. Just made my stomach rumble so much at the thought of these that I might just have to go out and buy some now!
