Advantages: Just yummy

Disadvantages: none it's chocolate

The small round shiny beads tempted me to their secret hideaway, in a small but seductively illustrated plastic package. they beckoned me to delve inside their dwelling , who was I to decline such an offer.

The entrance was sealed in a ragged manner but did not prove too much of a problem, I grabbed both sides of it delicately and pulled ever so slightly on the shiny surface. Slowly it prised open to reveal a multitude of small perfectly shaped rounds of choc lately niceness. They beckoned again but this time their call was one of glee not of torment.

I placed my thumb and forefinger into the shiny den and persuaded one of the glistening beads to partake of my joy. it was but an inch in diameter and slightly domed. it was it's shininess that had first appealed to me but now the smell was intoxicating, a strong waft of galaxy cocoa drifted sensuously into my nasal passage, it had been a while since my senses had been so stimulated.

I was reluctant to place the gem into my mouth but with a few more nasal infractions the temptation got the better of me. The outer shell was not just a shiny exquisiteness it was a crunchy delight as well. I kept thinking I was getting a hint of vanilla, but persuaded my senses that they well simply being over worked and that this could not be. The first crunch revealed that the outer layer was quite thick and covering a moist and inviting oval of creamy smooth chocolate. it was a this point that I realised my 40p had indeed been well spent, as I glanced further into the secret hideaway I was amazed to discovered many more of these sweet sensations luring me inside.

If it had not been for the crunching sound echoing in my head I would have sworn they were actually calling on me, teasing me, luring me into their den. I was not likely to have declined their invitation since my mouth was now full of the melted chocolate and my taste buds were singing like never before.

I ate a few more and came to the conclusion that I was participating in something special, it was then that I decided to save some to savour at a later date. The plan was working well at least for a short while, until my mouth started to make some weird gestures, it would appear that it was craving for some more of these round delicacies, I obliged and scoffed the rest with great haste. On reflection the experience was one I thoroughly enjoyed and I do not see it being too long before my mouth and I once again delve into the hidden secrets of the Minstrel packet.

Summary: A delicious sweet by any standards
