Advantages: Great Texture, Creamy Sweet Taste

Disadvantages: Small Bags, Pricey as Most Sweets are Now

At around 55p a bag, Galaxy Minstrels are a bit of a treat these days. In fairness that price is in line with the majority of chocolate bars and confectionary packets these days so I shouldn't grumble!


What I really like about Minstrels is the texture first and foremost. They're little chocolate sweets basically with a hard crispy chocolate shell and inside you'll find smooth Galaxy chocolate. So you crunch to start with until you get through to the smooth texture in the middle. It's a really nice texture and I can't think of any other chocolate quite like it.


The taste is very creamy and the chocolate is the sugary kind. What I mean is that these are more sweets than good quality chocolate like say Lindt chocolate is. But that's fine, sometimes what you want is a chocolate flavoured sugar fix rather than the best quality chocolate going!


I think my only real grumble with these is that there aren't quite enough in the standard sized bags and they could do with releasing a bloke's sized pack of these. I know they're bad for you, all chocolate is in excess, but as an occassional treat I'd rather have a decent sized portion than be left wanting more like I am with these.
