Advantages: Delicious.

Disadvantages: Too many calories.

When it comes to chocolate I am very much a Cadbury girl but there is one huge exception to the rule and it comes in the shape of Galaxy Minstrels. These chocolates as everyone I am sure knows are covered in a crisp candy shell which is very dark brown in colour and very sugary sweet and tasty.

The sweets come in a dark brown bag with lighter brown writing on it stating the name of the sweet, the bag looks very elegant as do the chocolates themselves. They come in different sized bags, I almost always just buy the small 42g bag for fear that if I were to buy the 225G bag I would eat them all at once as they are very moreish.

A 42g bag costs between 42 and 50p depending where you shop and a large 225g bag will set you back around £1.30 again depending where you purchase it from. Asda do often have the large bags on offer at 2 bags for £2 but I definitely have to pass that offer up due to a lack of self control that would almost certainly see me binge out on them.

These chocolates do not smell very chocolaty when you first open the bag and that is probably to do with the fact that the crisp shells hold in the scent. When you pop these in your mouth you have an option... Do you crunch through the hard shell to get to the chocolate or do you do as I do and let the shell melt first then expose the now somewhat melted chocolate (my mouth is watering here)!

However you choose to eat them be careful not to over-indulge because at 490 calories per 100g you are soon going to feel the effects.

Candy

Summary: An excellent treat just dont binge!!
