I love Galaxy, so recently I've been expanding my tastes and exploring other Galaxy products.

Today at work I fancied something chocolatey and chose a packet of Minstrels from the vending machine. They set me back about 50p; in my opinion this is expensive (and are probably cheaper elsewhere) considering how few you get in a packet - probably about a handful. Though they are quite heavy, weighing 42g, I don't feel like I've eaten that much chocolate, which is definitely a bad thing!

They have a crunchy, crisp shell like Smarties, which is sugar but chocolate flavoured. The centre is smooth, soft galaxy - but of course this tastes different due to the hard shell coating. Each one is a bit smaller than a 10p piece.

The packet is a lot nicer looking than the one shown above, with softer shades of brown and a nice gradient. Also pictured is a drawing of the sweets and the usual Galaxy name and Minstrels title.

All in all, if they were on offer I might be tempted to buy them, but otherwise probably not, as there are other brands of chocolate and snacks that would be more filling for cheaper (and probably more healthy).

According to the packet there are also a couple of E numbers in the ingredients, so if that kind of thing is important to you, this is probably a snack to avoid.
