Advantages: Creamy chocolate in a sugary shell, just lovely!

Disadvantages: High in sugar and fats too, not healthy to eat often I'm afraid...

I could not write reviews about my favourite chocolate and leave out my beloved Minstrels, could I?

If Galaxy found out they might not let me have anymore then what would I do?!

My mum buys me the big bags when they are on offer 2 for £2.50 from Morrisons and I'm allowed the when we go to the cinema as an occasional treat (:

The big bags weigh 170gram but don't give the calories for the whole bag, but rather quote what a standard bag portion includes which is 211 calories with fats of 9.4g.

Now these aren't healthy at all but they are lovely to eat!

Full of sugar - both in the crispy sugar coating that is coloured dark brown and encasing the lighter milk chocolate inside 1 inch in circumference discs, and the actual Galaxy centre itself this comes to a whopping 28.9g.

The bag itself is a plastic resealable one with the chocolate inside being described as 'smooth and creamy', which it certainly is...

The write up on the back says the lovely milk confectionery comes to 76% and there are quite a lot of E numbers as well, surprisingly.
It is understandable to see whey the sugar content is so high if 24% is the crispy shell, although it is gorgeous too!

The great things about these sweets are they don't melt in your hand, instead you can either crunch through the outer glucose coating to get to the softer centre, or suck patiently until the shell has slowly and tastily dissolved in your mouth (:

For me these are my favourite sweet and if given the choice I would pick these every time as I enjoy the two very different textures that work brilliantly together, as well as the lovely rich and creamy Galaxy taste.
I think these treats will be around for a long time yet and Mars the makers had an instant hit on their hands when they released these!

5 stars from me and many other fans, yummy in my tummy ;)

Summary: These will always be my favourite sweeties I think - unless they bring saucer-sized ones out too!
