A Dark (or Midnight) Mars Bar is packaged in a black & blue wrapper with the red Mars logo and it has perforations at both edges so that it is easy to open. This Dark Mars bar is 52g in size so is slightly smaller than a standard Mars bar and is available from most supermarkets & newsagents for around 55p but this may be cheaper if you purchase it within a multi-pack with 4 costing £1.00 in Sainsburys at present or the single bar costing 45p. The Dark Mars bar itself is a layer of soft nougat covered with caramel and then the whole thing is covered with dark chocolate. I love the combination of the soft nougat with the chewy caramel which is soft & ... Read the complete review

I've never been a fan of Mars Bars and would very rarely choose to eat one over other chocolate bars. However I am a fan of dark chocolate so when Mr Lools brought me home the limited edition Mars Bar Dark, I decided to tuck in. ***Packaging*** Each Mars Bar Dark is 52g in size. The packaging of the Mars Bar Dark is very similar to the traditional Mars Bar packaging. Each bar is individually wrapped in a black wrapper with the Red Mars Bar logo on the front. There is also an image of an eclipse and in large font "DARK" is written on the front of the wrapper. Nothing particular stands out about the chocolate bar and it would not ... Mars are currently re-running their Mars "Midnight" from a fair few years back with a Mars "Dark" branding, that's currently available in limited edition, though as the last time it was out it didn't last too long I'm not expecting this one to last long either. The wrapper is pretty much identical to the Mars bar wrappers we've seen for years, a dark background with Mars written in red and gold across the centre, in the top corners however is a light blue tint with "Limited edition" in one and the others just blue. At the bottom of the wrapper is the word DARK, obviously differentiating between the the regular bars and ... Read the complete review

I have been told to write my review of Mars Dark in this section because apparently it's the same as the Mars Midnight that was brought out as a limited edition a few years ago but Mars decided to call it Dark this time round. I'm not mad for Mars bars because there are loads of other chocolate bars that are nicer and they are always a bit too heavy for me. This one is just a normal Mars bar but covered in dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate and that's the only difference but it makes the bar taste completely different to usual. The chocolate is a bit thinner than on a normal Mars bar and it's not a very good dark chocolate I don't ... Read the complete review

I had this bar of chocolate thrust into my hand this morning by a bloke (I assume) dressed in a moon costume. And you take take this literally - he looked like a giant cue ball on legs and was pushing a wheelbarrow (a posh one!) full of Mars Midnight bars. There I was striding purposefully through Town (you have to stride purposefully in Town to look less like a mugging victim! lol) and suddenly a 'moon' is running at me tossing chocolate in my general direction - so after all that I thought I might as well try the bloody stuff..... You see I don't like Mars bars - I hate the chewy, caramel, pure sugar sensation but there's something alluring ... Read the complete review
