These seem to have the perfect promise, with things that go perfectly together. Nice, rich creamy chocolate, with crispy, chewy and soft fillings. However, they just don't seem to work. The packaging is quite nice, with a simple design that is easy to spot on the shelf. The writing is big, making it easy to read. It's easy to open, and the product is always fresh afterwards. The main idea, is to combine the different flavours as you please to create the taste of a Mars Bar. However, this fails, with just not having the same desirable taste and they don't melt in your mouth as much. The layer of chocolate is very thin, almost ... Read the complete review

Mars planets are a chocolate product that I really dislike. They are fairly new as I think they only came out sometime last year and are basically an attempt at mars trying to expand their sales by coming up with a new concept from their old chocolate bar the mars bar which is already a good idea. The idea is little balls, three in total one a soft chewy kind of ingredient like the stuff you find at the bottom section of the mars bar. The other one a chewy caramel and the last one a kind of crispy one which I'm not sure why that in there are mars bars don't have this kind of ingredient in them. As a mars bar, all these things taste fantastic, but on ... Read the complete review

Mars Planets are something that for whatever reason I've missed out on so far, probably more to do with the concept than anything else to be totally honest with you, I'm not a big fan of Mars bars I think their a bit sickly (that's coming from someone who is pretty much eating chocolate as a living now a days). So when the hoopla about Mars Planets came out I wasn't bothered, however as I struggle to find chocolate bars I've not tasted I've decided to finally try them. Coming in a packet, similar to that of Revels, Malteasers, M&M's and Minstrels, the packet is black like a Mars wrapper and it features cross sections of the three types of planet in the ... When 'Mars Planets' first came out I was excited as I love Mars Bars and Galaxy chocolate so thought they would be great to eat! It seemed like such a good idea to put three different flavours outs of a Mars bar and wrap them all separately in chocolate covering to make three different flavours - a bit like Revels in a way as you wouldn't know what flavours you were getting in some of the balls... The black plastic 165g packet price varies a lot, but we got our on a 2 for £2.50 offer on Mars sweetie bags. This packet is black with the picture of all three flavours on the front - soft, crispy and chewy. Mars say to mix the ... Read the complete review

Mars , as a company, has had huge success and is a brand I feel to be trustworthy and reliable in providing quality products. I must admit I was a little dubious when I first came across Planets, as spin off versions rarely taste like their original predecessor, but these are delicious. Mars planets are a spin of version of Mars bars and so have retained the predominantly black packaging with the red 'Mars' writing on the front. These are more of a snack treat, rather than a filling lunch nibble like the Mars bar. Planets are sold in single 36g standard size bags which cost around 43p (Tesco), though smaller convienence stores seem to charge up to ... Read the complete review
