... pound. I stuck them in my basket as i thought it was a good deal. Topic are made by Mars and are quite thick bars of chocolate. They contain a layer of nougat covered in chocolate with hazelnuts and caramel in it too. The main thing i could taste was a really strong nutty taste when i started eating it. I tasted the caramel but couldnt really taste anything else from the bar as the nutty taste was so strong. I couldnt eat more than one of these in a row as it was a bit sickening eating it after a while. A ba...more

Premium Review Mars Topic: Hazelnut Mars bar (581 words)

Coming in a rather boring red wrapper with the word "Topic" across it in white is, well, a topic, the wrapper has a few hazelnuts on it, but looks rather boring in a market where wrappers can be used almost to help sell the products to children who's eyes are caught by bright colours. So the wrapper is unimpressive but what about the actual bar, and what is a topic? Read the description on the wrapper a topic is "Milk Chocolate, Hazelnut soft nougat and smooth caramel centre", to me that sounds like a Hazelnut Snickers and funnily enough it's Mars that produces them, like the Snickers bar. In fact when compared directly to a Snickers bar, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review As nutty as I am! (500 words)

So there I was the other day walking round town emptying my lifeboat collecting boxes in various hotels and shops and I lost track of time until I suddenly realised just how hungry I was feeling. My tummy was rumbling and I was starting to feel a bit dizzy so I decided that a good healthy lunch was in order. So I did the only thing that seemed appropriate in the circumstances - I treated myself to a Topic bar! I bought it from the local paper shop and it cost me 45p for a 47g bar, although as with all these sorts of chocolate bars they are available in the supermarket in multi packs which makes the price per bar slightly less. I do occasionally have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mars Topic: pick a topic (319 words)

Topic was always one of my favourite chocolate bars as a teenager, and funnily enough I strayed to them again at the weekend while doing my lottery number's, It's been a while since I bought one and was a bit shocked at the price, I paid 41p for a 41g bar at my local costcutter store and once I had paid for my daughter's jelly tots I didn't have much change from a £1. The chocolate bar comes in a red wrapper with white wording on the front, it's rectangular in shape and contains hazelnuts, nougat and caramel, and they are made by the well known brand mars. I like mine straight from the fridge as I think the nougat tastes better a little hard and as ...  Read the complete review

I had not eaten a topic for a few years but recently I noticed an offer in my local Morrison 5 topics for £1 at 20p each I had to get some! Topics are wrapped in a bright red wrapper with some orange circles and a picture of hazelnuts with the word topic in front the text in white bold print, which stands out well on the shelf. The topic is about 4 inches long and containing 47 grams of chocolate. Topic is soft nougat with smooth caramel over the top surrounded by lovely milk chocolate. The taste is unbelievably good the nougat is very sweet tasting there is also a spread of hazelnuts scattered thought the bar. I find topic very filling although ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mars Topic: Not my topic of choice! (307 words)

I had never really tried Topic bars until my boyfriend started buying them a few years ago. The packaging never really appealed to me very much as its a red wrapper with "Topic" written in white across the front of it. Its not very eyecatching and doesnt really stand out on the shelf to me. I always refused a bite of my boyfriends bar and was in my local corner shop tonight. I had a bad day today so thought id cheer myself up with some chocolate. I noticed Topic bars were on offer - 3 bars for a pound. I stuck them in my basket as i thought it was a good deal. Topic are made by Mars and are quite thick bars of chocolate.
