Best ice cream ever! (Mars White Maltesers Ice Cream)

Maltesers are a very popular treat all over the UK. They have developed into all sorts of off shoots. The standard size packs, large packs, white chocolate maltesers and maltesers in celebration packets, smaller size servings etc. I do not like regular sized Maltesers as weirdly when I eat them I feel like they scratch my teeth. I love size of maltesers that you get in celebration boxes, where they are more chocolate and lots of little separated chunks of honeycombe. With this in mind I was torn as to whether I would like this ice cream, but picked it up while it was on special off and gave it a go.

Normal price, this ice cream would be out of my everyday price range. Therefore to be purchased it would either have to be very special and therefore qualify for treats status, or be on special offer. I picked it up for the first time when it was half price in Tesco. The ice cream comes in a cylinder style tub made of plastic. I am not sure if this tub is recyclable or not, which would be a plus in my opinion. One good thing is that the tub is reuseable. You can wash it out and use it to store things in. The tub is decorated like regular maltesers, it is bright red (signature red!) with the chunky brown writing that is instantly recognisable with maltesers. The lid peels of easily to give a creamy coloured ice cream with chunks visable in it.

Maltesers ice cream is creamy and thick and very golden. It has a lovely sweet taste to it that feels like it is going to melt in the mouth, The texture is just as adorable as it is easy to get your spoon into and isn't impossible to spoon out! Scattered generously in the ice cream are chunks of maltesery goodness, just in the right ratio of honeycombe to chocolate in my opinion!

I would recommend this ice cream. There are a few downsides which is normally to be expected with a tasty product. The calorie content is high, as it the cost. However this is a great product if it is kept for a treat!
