Lovely white chocolate (Mars White Maltesers)

...Introduction...

Yesterday I went up to my local coop with a mate and decided to pick up an offer. They had a four for £1.25 offer on Maltesers, Mars planets and revels. I decided to pick up a packet of Revels, two packets of Mars planets and A packet of White Maltesers. For anyone who hasnt come across white maltesers they are White Chocolate instead of the normal Milk Chocolate you find with the normal Maltesers.

...The Release...

The White Malteser was released as a winter edition for the Christmas period in 2003 but they were kept on the market as it was selling very well, Although you shouldnt have much trouble finding them they are not available in everywhere that sells the original Maltesers.

...White Maltesers...

The balls are the same shape as the normal malteser and have the same kind of crispy biscuit but the difference is that they are covered in White chocolate instead of the milk chocolate. The white chocolate maltesers are slightly lighter in weight than the original maltesers. A normal 35g bag of these will normally contain something like sixteen white chocolate balls as opposed to a 37g bag of the original Maltesers for sixteen balls.

...Packaging...

As you can see from the packet in the corner there, these are a in a yellow a packet which keeps the red and white of the original Maltesers packaging but pictures the yellow white maltesers balls instead of the Milk Chocolate Maltesers balls. I like the packaging as it's eye catching and very unique so you won't have any trouble finding it.

You can also buy White Maltesers in all the other sizes that the Original Milk Chocolate Maltesers have. These are a big 48g bag, and of course the ones you find in cinemas that are also available in shops, these are 100g and 175g bags and are available for less in shops.

...The Taste...

I am quite a fan of White chocolate and these are one of my favourites. They have a really nice white chocolate taste and the biscuit makes it taste a little like Horlicks malt drink. I like the normal maltesers but these ones just edge it for me over the original. These white maltesers melt in the mouth too.

...Overalll...

There we have it, my opinion on White Maltesers is that they are very nice indeed and just shade it over the normal Maltesers. One of the nicest White chocolates out there so if you havent tried it yet then what are you waiting for, just go ahead and get some. Go and look for some great offers out there like the ones at the Coop.
