Advantages: Nice white chocolate and light and fluffy
Disadvantages: Gone too quickly!
I saw a bag of these in the garage the other day as I was queuing up to pay for my petrol. I had tried a couple before, from someone else's bag a while back, but had never had a whole bag to myself. I picked them up and gave them a go.
The bag is the same size as the regular milk chocolate (or dark chocolate) Maltesers: 35g. I guess the main difference is that instead of using regular chocolate, the white choc is used.
In terms of taste, I am a fan of white chocolate anyway, and it does combine very well with the honeycombed centre you get with Maltesers. One thing I did find was that they didn't last as long as a regular bag of Maltesers. I'm not sure why, perhaps it's because I devour white chocolate quicker, or because the cocoa in dark chocolate makes for heavier eating. Either way, it was a pleasant experience, and at 40p, was about right for the price. I wouldn't buy them on a regular basis as there isn't much to them. I understand the whole light chocolate snack that Maltesers advertising brings, but this is still not as substantial as other chocolatey snacks.
Maltesers are made by Mars, and as such have little or no advertising on the bag itself. Nutritionally, the bag contains 8.5g of fat, 22.4g of carbs and surprisingly a little bit of protein as well, although you wouldn't want to use this food source for your daily intake of protein!
A good product, but not filling at all. Tastes lovely, but the cocoa chocs are heavier and more value for money.
Summary: Nice product
