All white but not all right. (Mars White Maltesers)

Advantages: Not a lot really.

Disadvantages: A poor imitation of the original milk chocolate version.

With Maltesers, Mars have one of the best chocolate sweets ever so why do they insist on messing about with them?

By messing about with them I am talking about the white chocolate version Mars seen fit to introduce.

Being a Malteser lover and being quite partial to a bit of white chocolate I made the mistake of giving them a try. These are very disappointing in my opinion, the white chocolate just does not work with the malt centre that tastes so good with milk chocolate and they were very sweet in comparison to the original.

The packaging of the white chocolate version is very similar to the original; it is basically the traditional red bag with a white border. The price also reflects the cost of the original but the taste is sadly lacking.

I think the malt centres require the stronger taste of milk chocolate to work and even real fans of white chocolate will not be impressed with these.

My suggestion to consumers would be to stick with the original and my suggestion to Mars would be to leave things well alone, as they say...

If it aint broke don't fix it!!

Summary: Best stick to the original and best.
