I picked up some of these last week as I hadn't tried them before. I was sure I would like them as I love the original Maryland cookies, and things always taste better when they're on at half price! The recipe for Maryland cookies was originally brought over to the UK from the USA back in 1956, though they're strangely not sold in the States (more for us!). As far as cookies go, I'd say Maryland are probably the most popular and loved brand. To back this up, over 12 billion are sold per year worldwide, so they must be doing something right. Double Chocolate Chip are a twist on the original variety, retaining the style, size and choc chips of their ... Read the complete review

My teenage daughter can home with a pack of Double Chocolate Maryland Cookies last night which was a big mistake - I'm looking at the half pack that's left so I tell you how delicious they are. It's difficult to tell you exactly how many cookies were in the pack as the packaging was eagerly ripped open last night but I'm estimating there are around 28 cookies in this 200g packet. She bought them from our local Spar & the price of 99p (rrp) is printed on the side. I prefer to make cookies when I have the time but when I don't I usually opt for the cheapest biscuits depending on how they look. It was a real treat last night to tuck into ... Chocolate Chip cookies are another type on junk food that I just can't seem to get enough of. I normally like to make my own but sometimes I don't have the time and therefore buy a packet of Maryland Double Chocolate Chip Cookies. I choose this brand because Maryland make the best cookies, it's a very well known fact and also because the idea of double chocolate sounds very, very nice to me. Anyway I bought a 150g packet from Tesco for £0.78, this is a lot in comparison to the Tesco Value version which is just 40p for 200g! However sometimes quality is worth paying for and in this case I agree. These cookies came in a purple wrapper unlike the original ones ... Read the complete review

I'm quite fussy when it comes to biscuits, but I must admit I do like a chocolate chip cookie! When it comes to food, I often just buy the supermarket own brands (I need to save money to fund my beauty product addiction!), but I do buy Maryland cookies when I can, as they taste so much better than any cheaper brands I have tried. I actually switched from the original Maryland cookies to the double chocolate ones, when I compared the calories and realised that the double chocolate (somehow) have 2 calories less per biscuit! I am well aware that 2 calories will probably make no difference whatsoever to my waistline (or my thighs which are the real problem!) but ... Read the complete review

Passing through the supermarket aisles more often than not gives me an attack of the `munchies`, they always advise that you eat before you shop and I do! Honestly! But for me it never seems to work. Almost every aisle seems to have something that I could rip the wrapper from and instantly devour, you might have gathered that I like my food. I am a biscuit connoisseur, if there were a degree in `biscuitry` then I would have an Honours Degree. I would have willingly attended any University on a small student grant to have been given the privilege of eating and studying biscuits `in depth`. But back to the real World... Maryland Double ...
