Thanks to asda I have just been reunited with a childhood favourite. None other than rainbow drops, the delightful multi coulored sugar coated maize and rice puffed snack. I am sure most of you know at least what rainbow drops are but too give you my explenation of them might help. they are a sort of cereal type snack in fact many people actually do eat them with milk as a cereal. A good friend of mine likes to scoff them with flavoured milk, me i just eat them dry from the bag as a sweety. Until very recently I had completely forgotten that Rainbow drops ever existed but the other day my daughter dropped of my granddaughter for me to look after for a bit and in her bag for a treat for her was Matlows Rainbow drops. When I gave my granddaughter some I could not help but have a handful myself and they are as good as I ever remember. For anyone that does not know, Rainbow drops are a cereal type snack, I suppose you could say they look a bit like brightly coloured rice crispies. They are like a fairy candy, all air and no substance; but there is just something that is really good fun about these little drops of puffed maize.
