These are now referred to as the Sports Mixture and I became a convert over 18 months ago. I had recalled reading ages ago that someone famous snacked on wine gums as they had virtually no fat. On deciding to change my life to a virtuous eating experience where my body was a temple (or at least the size of a small church) I thought i would explore these mysterious coloured gems. What can i say - delicious - this is a placebo that works. These wine gums are 5 calories each with virtually no fat, in comparison to Maynards other wine gums (in the red packet) that are about 20 calories each. When I was at Asda, standing at the end of the book aisle, a pale coloured packet caught my eye at the sweet-stand that was situated just next to me (most appropriately I must add - many do tend to snack whilst burying their nose in a good book!). The packet was a shiny whitish-silver shade, with the traditional brightly coloured Maynard's logo spread across it. To the right hand size in attractive red lettering were the words 'Light' - an instant attention-grabber with me. Underneath, it stated that there was half the sugar in the pack compared to the normal wine gums.
