I am a huge fan of crisps in general, and enjoy many flavours but in particular, I do enjoy a bag of cheese and onion flavoured crisps. When in my local grocery store recently, I was looking for a packet of crisps to munch on after my lunch and as I stood there perusing the vast choice of bags of snacks and crisps, the gold 'foil' style bag of the McCoy's crisps caught my eye. Realising it had been quite some time since I had tried these 'ridge cut' crisps, I selected the 'Cheddar & Onion' flavour and paid for my purchase. I did note that the only other flavour on offer in this particular store was some sort of 'Rib or Steak' flavour. This ... Read the complete review

Every week my family buy the multipack McCoys Cheddar and Onion and this is the reason I have started gaining weight, definitely. We have 12 packets of this and the reason we do not have a multipack of 6 is because of my midnight snacking I tend to do and these are the first on my list. I buy them whenever I buy a packet of crisps, I should really be more extravagant and try different flavours but I can't. McCoys crisps are totally different from your average crisps, your walkers and other brands of ordinary crisps; they are a lot thicker and are a ridge cut style, this is where it is like wavey, a bit vague but I can not really describe it. I like ... Read the complete review

I can't leave these alone! Seriously! I am addicted to these. Allright that is taking it a bit far, but I am not really satisfied with buying just a teensy weensy little pack of the so and sos. I need to get a six pack of them. And when I say six pack, I don't mean the six pack that is 2x cheddar and onion, 2x ready salted and 2x salt and vinegar. I mean the six pack of Cheddar and Onion. (though saying that I had to put up with one of the multi six packs the other day, but that is for another review. We all know what a crisp looks like, but for anyone who hasn't seen these, they are thicker than your average crisp and ridged with it. This means ... Read the complete review

I do occasionally find myself munching away on a bag of crisps. Recently my husband went to buy a few bits from the supermarket and came back with some bags of McCoys, in cheddar and onion flavour and Salt and vinegar. Not being a salt and vinegar fan I thought I'd give the cheddar flavour a try In a green, gold and white foil bag, it seems smaller than your standard bag of crisps, but at 32g, it is 7g heavier than Walkers standard multi pack bags. On opening the bag you are hit with a fairly strong cheese flavour with a hint of onion, a nice tempting flavour that doesn't blow your taste buds away, but entices you to try what is ... The bag has been slightly redesigned since the above picture was taken, the packaging has more green now (along the top too) and has a further 30% less saturated fat. The crisps are in a foil fresh bag to keep them crisp and lovely and I purchase 6 packets at the special price of 75p from Tesco (April 2009). The pack size is 22g so these are perfect for a snack without going too mad on calories. Once you open the bag you are met with about half a packet (why do they not just make smaller packaging?!) of ridge cut crisps in various sizes. I personally like my crisps to be quite small and I love McCoys because I can take ages to eat a crisp by biting ... Read the complete review
