... be making a permanent switch to them. Even though there are a multi-pack bag it still contains 32g of crisps which is more than in the Walkers equivalent and about the same as Seabrook's, so value for money wise these are very good. Nutritional information reveals that a single bag contains: 164kcals 17.0 carbs, of which 0.3g are sugars 9.7g fat of which 2.0g are saturates 0.4g sodium So seem comparable with other brands as well. If you like a crisp that gives a full on flavour then I would recommend these, at the...more

Premium Review McCoys Crisps: Definitely The Real McCoy (619 words)

I try not to eat to much rubbish, working in the health industry, I don't like chocolate much so I have to have some comfort food and I normally turn to crisps. Not having McCoys crisps for quite a while, I went into the shop yesterday and they had them on offer, 3 bags for £1, which isn't too bad really as I have always considered these crisps as quality. I took two bags of Flame Grilled Steak flavour and one bag of Cheddar Cheese and Onion flavour. The Real McCoys Ridge Cut are made by United Biscuits, who are also the makers of the likes of McVities Biscuits, Hula Hoops and Jacobs Cream Crackers. - Packaging - The packet ...  Read the complete review

McCoys crisps are a tasty snack when you want something tokeep you going until your next meal. They are bigger and thicker than other crisps and have a nice ridged texture that keeps more flavour in the crisps. They come in bigger bags as well and the bags always seem fuller to me than Walkers crisps. You can buy them individual or in multipacks of 6. The most popular flavours that you will see in the shops are Salt and Malt Vinegar, Salted, Flame Grilled Steak or Cheddar and Onion. MY favourites are the Salt and Vinegar ones because they are very salty and I like the fact that a strong vinegar has been used that burns my tongue a little bit and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review McCoys Crisps: McCoys - The Crisp Elite (730 words)

Very well, where does one begin on the subject of these inspired crisps? It all began today when I purchased some of the aforementioned crisps. I have been researching them for a long while and I took it upon myself to go out and finally buy a small selection of packets of these crisps. I couldn't wait to take them home and partake of their flavoursome goodness. However, before we get to the exciting part, let us first examine how these crisps came to be. McCoys crisps are made by a group who call themselves "KP Snacks" who also produce the world-renowed crisps that are ''Hula Hoops" and "Skips". They ally ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Real McCoy's (361 words)

I love crisps of any description, usually Walkers but when I'm in the mood for a treat I pick McCoys. McCoys are produced in the UK by United Biscuits. According to their website they are now the third biggest brand in the bagged snacks market with 5 million packs being consumed each week, shocking figures!! McCoy's are flavour ridge cut potato chips. The great thing about these is that the chips are quite thick and crunchy and each one has a very bold flavour. Unlike some brands of crisps it seems that each crisp has been coated in the flavour which is nice because you get a really strong taste. They are often marketed as "male" crisps as ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review McCoys Crisps: Mighty crunchy (256 words)

McCoys as a crisp seem to have an extra amount of crunch compared with other makes of crisp and while they are not always stocked in small corner shops they can always be found in the supermarket like Tesco or Sainsburys. They retail for about forty pence a bag however if you buy a multi pack they can work out cheaper. I had a packet of salt and vinegar flavour although there are lots of flavours to choose from and I also like the chilli flavour as well although I have not had those for a while. The crisps themselves are quite a bit thicker than other makes of crisp and they have a ridged appearence which I think helps keep the flavouring on the ...  Read the complete review
