Advantages: Great taste, lovely ridge cut texture.

Disadvantages: I fail to think of any.

McCoy's are a ridge cut crisp, they come in all sorts of flavours but my personal favourite is the Flame Grilled Steak Variety. In Iceland the other day there was an offer on McCoy's; an 18 pack cost a mere £2 and included here were 6 packs of Flame Grilled Steak, 6 packs of Cheddar and Onion, and 6 packs of Mexican Chilli also. I'm not a fan of the Mexican Chilli variety; those have gone the way of the wife but the Flame Grilled Steak and Cheddar and Onion varieties I'm a huge fan of.

Each bag of crisps in the multipack has a weight of 32g, apparently the crisps now contain 30% less saturated fat than in 2006 and this is something that is absolutely excellent to hear. Each bag of crisps contains 165 calories, not too bad really as one bag of these crisps will leave you feeling full and completely satisfied. The crisps contain milk and it should also be noted that McCoy's are produced on a line which also handles gluten, wheat, mustard, and soya.

What I love most about McCoys crisps is the powerful scent that hits you as soon as you open the bag; the crisp smell is delicious and really has you wanting to start tucking in to the bag of crisps. Once you've started a bag it doesn't take long to finish them, you soon find yourself to be at the bottom of the bag and licking your fingers in order to eat up any last crumbs. The Flame Grilled Steak flavour has a rich steak flavour; the taste is strong and truly is absolutely delicious. The crisps capture the flame grilled element of the steak to absolute perfection; eating a bag of Flame Grilled Steak flavour McCoy's isn't quite the same as eating a real flame grilled steak but the experience certainly comes close in terms of overall eating pleasure. The Cheddar and Onion variety of McCoy's are similarly excellent; the cheddar flavour is strong but not too overpowering and the onion taste provides a pleasant undertone of a flavour also.

The packaging of the McCoy's crisps is absolutely excellent, it really provides a luxurious feel about the crisps and the rich gold packaging really make the crisps highly appealing and stand out strongly from afar. From a young age I always remember reaching for McCoy's as my crisp treat of choice, there's just something about the ridge cut of the crisps that makes them all the more appealing. The potato flavour of the crisp always is lovely, the ridged nature seems to add to the overall eating experience and make McCoy's even more of a delight to eat.

On the bag it states 'The Real McCoy's: Accept No Imitations', I really would take the advice given and stick solely to McCoy's for the ultimate in ridge cut crisp experiences. The flavour of these crisps is absolutely delicious, the ridge cut of the McCoy's crisp adds to the fun of eating and the choice of flavours available on the market truly is fantastic. Other flavours in the range include Roast Minted Lamb, Spicy Buffalo Wings, and Roast Ham and Mustard to name but a few. I love McCoy's crisps, they are I feel one of my favourite kinds of crisps and never can I eat enough of them. Although the mulipack bags of McCoy's come in 32g bags, if you buy the crisp packs singularly then the bag size is 50g and will set you back roughly 50p dependent upon where you purchase the crisps from. I certainly recommend giving these crisps a go, I for one absolutely love them and no matter how many bags of these crisps I eat; always I crave for more. One bag is more than enough to satisfy you, you really feel like you've eaten something when you've had a bag of McCoy's but this will not stop you from wanting many more.

McCoy's Crisps is a registered trademark of United Biscuits, a UK limited company which is also responsible for such delicious crisp snacks as Twiglets, Skips, and Hula Hoops also. Although I bought the crisps from Iceland I've also seen and bought the crisps in such other shops as Tesco, Co-Op, and Waitrose also.

Price: £2 for a Multipack of 18 (Iceland)/44p for a Single Bag (Tesco)

Summary: McCoy's are great crisps, I highly recommend going out and purchasing a bag or two of these.
