Let me start this review off by telling you that I bought this packet of McCoys quite by mistake, thinking they were my beloved Salt & Malt Vinegar variety. However I realised as I opened the pack that while Salt & Malt Vinegar does make an appearance, they have been 'twisted' with chilli to create a completely different flavour. The result is a very sickly packet of crisps that doesn't manage to really capture the essence of the chilli at all. The problem is that while the salt and vinegar flavours are there, they are masked somewhat by the awful synthetic chilli and this results in a mish mash of flavours which isn't appetising in the ... B & M again getting a mention, where I got 2 packs of these not realising they weren't the normal Salt and Vinegar McCoy's, for 10p each. It wasn't until I got back to work that I noticed they said twisted on them, I was presuming (foolishly) that they would be like twisted in the shape not in the flavour. What then became apparent was the twist meant that they had Chilli flavour on them, I'm not a big fan of chilli but will eat it if it's there, oddly the Sensation Chilli crisps are actually some of my favourites. So opening them and trying them seemed to be a good enough idea, if I didn't like them, well, what's 10p? The crisps coming in a Blue McCoy's ... Read the complete review

BLEUGHHHHH I like having a couple or three bags of crisps in just in case hunger strikes and I can't be bothered to cook. Now it is fair to say that cheese and onion is THE king of crisp flavours, and although I am not a big fan of salt and vinegar (unless it is Golden Wonder), it gets an honourary queen of flavours. Now what happens when you mix Cheese and Onion with Jalapeno? It makes me go "BLEUGHHHHH" I happened to buy a multipack of McCoys the other day, thinking I was picking up a pack of Cheese and Onion (or whatever McCoys call them) and McCoys version of salt and vinegar. When hunger struck, that ... Read the complete review

I'm a bit of a crispoholic and enjoy a bag of McCoys crisps at the best of times, but when I saw these McCoys Twisted I just had to give them a try. I plumped for the Salt and Vinegar with a Chilli Twist since salt and vinegar are by far my favourite flavour. Like all McCoys these crisps are thick crinkle cut crisps or ridged as they like to call them. They've been described in the past as a 'man's crisp' because they are so much thicker than ordinary crisps (is that akin to saying that men are thicker? I'll leave you to decide that one!) . Boring stuff out of the way first, they come in large 50g bags, so there are 260 calories a bag ... Read the complete review
