 ... I eat them on their own but they are better dipped in tea because they soak the tea up a bit and this gives them a more interesting flavour. My grandaughter dips these in hot chocolate and she said that is very nice expecially when I let her have a cup of my best Green and Blacks hot cocoa. The lack of butter taste is good when it comes to dipping because I think some shortbread is much too buttery for this and makes my tea taste funny after I have dipped them. I like a nice biscuit to dip in my tea and today I am having a McVities Shortbread Finger. I cannot eat these biscuits without a cup of tea because they are too dry and make me cough. These fingers are fat biscuits and each mouth full feels substantial and satisfying at first bite. Because they are so thick they are perfect for dipping in tea because the outside goes a little bit soggy but the inside is still crunchy. When they have been dipped in tea for a few seconds they will melt in your mouth. Without tea they are hard rather than crunchy and have quite a powdery texture when I first bite into the shortbread.
