I recently found these biscuits while shopping in Iceland, (the supermarket not the country) and thought I would give them a go. They cost me at the time £1.03 for a packet, but I was in there today and they were on buy one get one free and I got two packets for £1.00. (Iceland’s new policy of rounding everything to tens and pounds). So here goes: THE PACKET: It is a lovely colour blue. I would describe it as almost violet but not so vivid and across the top is the word "BOASTERS" in big white capitals. They are made by McVities, which is a trusted biscuit maker so you feel confident they will be a nice biscuit. There is a ... Read the complete review

I am reviewing McVities Belgian Chocolate and Hazelnut Boasters. I’ve decided to review these because I have only recently discovered them but they have quickly become my favourite biccies. I spotted them in Sainsbury’s when they were on ‘buy one get one free’ so I got two packets for £1.05. I’ve since discovered that they sometimes have them in Somerfields at 2 packets for £1 so shop around for the best deal, you’ll want to when you hear how delicious they are. The Belgian Chocolate and Hazelnut Boasters come in a blue packet with the ‘McVitie’s’ logo on the front and Boasters written across the front. There is a description of the biscuits of the ... Mc Vities Boasters are very aptly named, there is nothing modest about the cookies what so ever. Like many of us I am a biscuit addict and I love nothing more than to share my biscuit experiences with other like minded people. I regularly buy the common or garden cookies, the value packs or the supermarket own brands. All of them dunk well but I have to say that some do have a tendancy to be `sawdusty`. But beggars can`t be choosers! For a change lets do a comparison, if the cookies were fish ( yes you have read correctly!) the supermarket own brands would be sardines, whereas McVities Boasters could only possibly be a salmon fillet! Mc Vities have ... Read the complete review

McVities Boasters are a luxury chocolate and Hazelnut biscuits. The packet has been restyled in recent years as I always remember it used to be blue, now it has a lighter coloured pack with a picture of a couple of delicious looking biscuits along with some hazelnuts and chocolate chunks which really look appetizing and if you are feeling hungry whilst at the supermarket looking at these means theyre going to end up in your trolley! Inside the pack you will find just a handful of Boasters biscuits in a plastic tray, the biscuits themselves are quite large in size but when you pick them up they are not particularly heavy. The biscuit is ... Read the complete review
