Advantages: High in flavour

Disadvantages: Expensive and smaller than a normal Digestive

The Caramel Digestive Biscuit was for me an amazing Idea, the fusion of soft creamy caramel with a great biscuit.

I did not know these existed until me and my girlfriend spotted them on the shelf in Tesco. The colourful packaging caught my eye and the word caramel encouraged me to pull a packet off of the shelf. The sun yellow of the packet stood out from the normal blue, almost if screaming out to me "I am different take a look at me!" so I did. They looked like a great idea but I was shocked that they cost £1.36, which in my mind is quite dear for a pack of standard biscuits. Despite the price I bought a pack as I thought the price must determine an extension quality

At first I was underwhelmed as they are actually smaller than a normal chocolate digestive in size, I probably should have noticed this as the packet was no bigger than the biscuit, but I failed to before I actually opened the pack with the little easy opening tab that I usually fail to see.

The biscuit despite being smaller is the same in appearance to a normal digestive. It has the same logo imprinted into the surface and the same holes in the top as well as possessing the same ripple effect on the sweet chocolaty base.

The difference comes when you firmly bite into the biscuit. Your teeth crunch through the biscuit roof and hit a soft and sweet caramel layer, stealthily hidden within the middle of the biscuit. This does make the small little trooper of a biscuit worthwhile. The taste is great and with the blend of chocolate amazing!

The only problem comes when dunking. If dunked the biscuit soon becomes unstable, getting sticky and sloppy. But then what do you expect from a fusion of chocolate and caramel?

Overall the biscuits are worth the time and the price but if you are looking for a dirt cheap biscuit or a hard dunker, turn elsewhere.

Summary: A great biscut but a tad expensive to be having all the time.
