Advantages: Great Taste!
Disadvantages: Quite Expensive!
McVities Chocolate Digestive's are very nice, and it was almost impossible for them to get better... until the Caramel version was released! The biscuits are very tasty, have a great texture and will melt in your mouth, although they are quite small, and can be eaten in a couple of bites.
The packaging is very bright and easy to read. It stands out, making it easy to find the product in the overcrowded shelves, with a clear brand. It does a great job of keeping the biscuits fresh, and they always have a nice 'crunch'. It is also very easy to open, but hard to close and they will need to be put into another container to keep them at a good standard. Also, it is very thin, so it can break and the biscuits won't be fresh and can become damaged.
The quality is very high, with always a nice thick layer of caramel and good standard chocolate. Alternative brands can't even come close to McVities. With no artificial colours and removing vegetable oils. They are even made of whole gain, so with a great taste, and not too unhealthy, there is really no reason not to love them.
A nice smell comes from the biscuits, into your nose, making you want to pop them into your mouth. First, you get a crunch of biscuit, with the chocolate melting in your mouth. The caramel is very chewy, but works with the other layers to provide an 'ultimate' experience. The texture is very smooth, but they are very addicting and it is extremely easy to eat them all up in one go.
The biscuits work out to be more expensive than the originals, and also come in smaller packets, but this is worth it for one of my favourite biscuits. They are seem to be smaller in size, but with the rich caramel, it doesn't matter.
Overall, a great packet of biscuits, with great taste, smell and a fantastic high level of quality. They are quite expensive, but are definitely worth it!
Summary: A great product.
