... packet to make a hole and get it open! In every packet of these that I've purchased, there has been 300g of biscuits, this equates to roughly 20 biscuits. You do get less than you would in your average packet of digestives though, because these biscuits are slightly smaller than the normal ones. They look basically the same as your average chocolate digestive, with a digestive biscuit thats covered in a top layer of some sort of milk chocolate. The only difference is whats inside! The smell is very nice, the choc...more

Premium Review McVities Chocolate Caramel Digestives: What a combination (320 words)

McVities chocolate caramel digestives are one of my favourites when I am able to obtain a packet that is. They do appear every so often on the shelves at ASDA but otherwise they are extremely hard to find, but are indeed worth the search. When available they retail at around £1.00 per 300g which is not bad value considering there are a fair few of these little beauties in each packet. They do not look that much different than ordinary choc digestives being that they are just over 3.5 inches in diameter and probably in the region of .25 inches thick, and it is the thickness that is important here since this is where the caramel is hidden. ...  Read the complete review

I first tried McVities Chocolate Caramel Digestives a couple of years ago when they first came out. I thought they were nice but, not really being a biscuit person, I never thought to buy another packet. Today, however, I was standing in the corner shop and noticed a basket of biscuits on promotion so picked up a couple of packets. It wasn't until I got them home that I realised they weren't the 'normal' McVities Digestives, but the long ago sampled Caramel variety. Oh well, 2 packets for £1 - priced up at £1.19 each and well in date! Can't moan even if I was hoping for a caramel-less biscuit! These biscuits are, for me, the perfect size. ...  Read the complete review

After Hob Nobs these are my favourite biscuits to enjoy as they combine chocolate and caramel which is always a winning combination in my book. These are based on the standard Mcvites milk chocolate digestive biscuit but come with an extra layer of caramel in them. I can easily scoff a whole packet in a couple of days although as they are very sweet if you eat to many I find they get a bit sickly but I guess that goes for most sweet things. In terms of texture they have a chewy quality because of the caramel and a nice crunch provided by the digestive base. I do find the base can be a bit crumbly and you get a bit of a mess from the crumbs and these ...  Read the complete review

I have just bought a packet of McVities Caramel Digestives from Morrisons last week and must admit I thought they were a new item until I realised from other reviews that they have been out for years. After trying them I don't think I have been missing anything. They come in a 300g packet and cost 65p but this was on offer at half price so they must be £1.30. They are digestive biscuit, with a layer of caramel and then a coating of milk chocolate. McVities Chocolate Digestives has got to be one of my favourite biscuits so I thought I would really like these but I don't. When I opened the packet all the biscuits were stuck together and I really ...  Read the complete review

I brought these biscuits ages ago and didn't like them very much but my mate come over to watch a film with me last night and she brought a load of munchies including a packet of these because we both love biscuits. They are chocolate digestives with a layer of caramel between the biscuit and the chocolate. I think they are on special offer at Sainsburys at the minute but my mate couldn't find her receipt so I'm not sure. We all know that chocolate digestives are the best biscuits like EVER so I don't know why they've spoilt them like this. The caramel is only in a thin layer but its so strong that it wrecks the taste because the whole biscuit ...  Read the complete review
