I was feeling in need of some biscuits for the weekend and in Tesco's bought some McVities milk chocolate caramel biscuits, they cost me £1.09 for a 300g packet.

McVities have been making biscuits for years and years and years over 100 years.
McVities in now one of united biscuits brands.
The digestive biscuit is very popular as a plain biscuit , in 1925 the first mc vities chocolate covered biscuit was produced since then there has been many additions to this range in 1999 the chocolate caramel covered digestive was launched.
Both milk chocolate and plain chocolate caramel digestive biscuits are available. Although I prefer plain chocolate I bought the milk chocolate ones (don't ask me why)

I have seen these biscuits available in most food stores that I visit and garage forecourt shops. They are unmistakable with the McVities logo emblazoned across the packet which is half the traditional Cavities blue with a golden yellow swirly stripe length ways across the packet then the chocolaty brown colour the other side with the word caramel written in that golden caramel colour.

Ok So I am at home and to indulge myself after a busy week at work I open the pack, easy it has that pull strip around it.
First I look at it , it's a bit smaller than standard McVities digestives I think(never mind I can always have 2 ( or 3 or more )
I can see the golden brown digestive biscuit one surface covered in chocolate, it smells sweet a little chocolaty and biscuit, well what more do you expect, I am no Gilly Cooper with the smells of biscuits

I take my first bite the digestive biscuit is soft not crisp it is crumbly. I do like the wheat taste of digestive biscuits though, sort of wholesome. The chocolate covering on these biscuits is just that a thin covering a pleasant chocolate as my teeth sink through the biscuit and chocolate I come to the inner layer of caramel now this is a bit hard to get my teeth through it is a bit rubbery, chewy and stretchy, tastes good though sweet and has that pleasant caramel toffee taste.

I continue to eat this biscuit taking large bites .In my mouth there is a crumbly chewy experience the biscuit crumble the caramel chewy, the chocolate just melts away. The overall taste is good caramel chocolate and digestive biscuit taste great together.

The next biscuit I dunk, some of the base crumbles into my tea the chocolate melts the caramel softens making it much easier to eat not so much chewing required. I think I would not offer these biscuits to a person with dodgy fillings or false teeth, maybe if your child has their wobbly teeth these biscuits would be the ones to help them come out. (My spell checker kept telling me that I had spelt McVities wrong the suggestion it mad was cavities)
Overall I liked these biscuits and although they may not be ones I buy a lot I will be buying them again occasionally.

Now to find out if they will make me really fat … well they will if I eat lots as each biscuit contains 81 kcal, 4g fat.
These biscuits contain wheat and dairy products so not suitable for anyone with dairy or wheat allergies.
