Advantages: Gorgeous biscuits, good texture

Well, what can I say about digestives - everyone loves them! Whether you eat two together with jam in the middle, dunk them in your tea, or just eat them dry, the digestive is the king of lain biscuits!

So, when a new version of digestive came out - with CHOCOLATE on the top, how excited was everyone?! I know I switched over immediately, and the chocolate digestive became the one to grace the saucers of our family!

And now, the wonderful people at McVities have come out with something even better - CARAMEL filled digestives! Not only do these amazing biscuits have chocolate on the top, the have a lovely chewy caramel layer inbetween!

Seriously, if you are a digestive fan, but also miss the naughtiness of a chocolate biscuit - these are for you!!

The layer of chocolate on the top is lovely and thick, and the caramel layer, although not too thick, is definately noticable, and gives the biscuit that little extra 'chew' it was missing before. The biscuit part is just as lovely and crumbly as the regular range, with none of the taste being lost due to the caramel.

These biscuits are fab dipped in tea or coffee to make the chocolate and caramel melt slightly and blend together!

They are slightly more filling than the normal chocolate covered disgestives, but be warned - it is still very easy to sit down and eat a whole pack at once! And at a good bit more expensive than the simpler range, both in money and calories terms, you'd better be careful when you open that packet!!

Summary: A fab range of biscuits, one of my favourites!
