Advantages: Great tasting.
Disadvantages: Full of calories and a bit expensive maybe for some.
McVities chocolate digestives are a big favourite of mine so it is little surprise really that these are also a big favourite of mine now too.
These caramel chocolate digestives have taken the digestive biscuit to yet another level.
A simple digestive biscuit with a layer of caramel and then a layer of milk chocolate sounds so simple yet tastes so exquisite.
The chocolate and the digestive bit have all been done before and they are great together but the addition of the caramel really makes these an excellent biscuit.
Caramel can often be very sweet and a bit off putting for me but the caramel in this is not at all too sweet and when combined with the flavour of the biscuit and the chocolate it is absolutely excellent.
The digestive biscuit remains a very crunchy affair whilst the caramel adds a chewy texture and the chocolate is delicious and as a combined experience they are simply very moreish.
A 300g packet costs a little over £1 but in my opinion they are worth every penny and they can quite often be found in Asda on offer with various other biscuits at 3 for £2, when I see them at that price I stock up big time and so should you.
These are a highly recommended sweet treat but be careful of the calories and fat content, if you are dieting then I am afraid these are simply not allowed!
Summary: Got to try them!!
