Advantages: King Dunker, tastier chocolate

Disadvantages: Not enough caramel to justify price mark up

Reviewing biscuits is alway a difficult task for me... it means properly savouring a biscuit rather than wolfing it down for the sugar hit. However, taking a few moments to enjoy this biscuit was an illuminating experience.

Practical information first:

The biscuits are of a manageable size, perfect for dunking in a decent sized mug of tea.

Price wise, I'm not as lucky as the other reviewers here - I bought a 300g pre-priced packet for £1.45 (what a rip-off) which perhaps coloured the rest of my judgement.

Most importantly of all: taste test

The digestive base isn't as crumbly as a plain digestive, with the caramel acting as a bit of an adhesive to make this the King of the Dunkers. The chocolate is a triumph as it doesn't fall into the trap of dryness that you find on your normal chocolate digestives. And as for the selling point - the caramel is a good addition but you don't get an awful lot of it. The overwhelming sensation is of a slightly sweeter chocolate digestive, which, given the mark up experienced by me, means it just isn't worth the extra money.

Summary: Try once, you probably won't go back
