Advantages: absolutely gorgeous combination of textures, second to none

Disadvantages: mega calories per biscuit

When it comes to biscuits, I was never much of a fan. Then, one time we had a French lady stay with us and we took her shopping. She was like a kid in a candy store when it came to the supermarket and she picked up some McVities Chocolate Caramel digestives. They cost around the £1/£1.20 mark and sadly I have never seen them on offer, maybe because they are just too good! We tried some that night and it was hands down the best biscuit I had ever eaten.....The crunch of the biscuit, the milky, melt in your mouth chocolate and the slight gooey pull of the caramel as you took that first bite. What a combination of textures so cleverly put together by those little geniuses at the McVities factory.

It's one of those things where you really can't have just the one.. as soon as you put that biscuit to your mouth you know that it is going to be followed by many, many more. It's almost like an addiction, which can be swiftly medicated when you realise how many calories there are in each biscuit. At 81 calories per biscuit, after having eaten your way through a good half packet, you may want to sit yourself back down! That's a good 8-10 minutes breaststroke in the pool per biscuit...as a lover of swimming this doesn't bother me, but after eating the whole packet I think it is safe to say you would be in the gym for a good couple of hours!

As a treat they are absolutely ideal. The packet is predominantly yellow with the blue logo but also some red on, a bit different from the picture above. Definitely enjoyed as part of a healthy, balanced diet, because eating the entire packet over a few hours can make you feel very sick....that one's tried and tested! Go pick yourself up a packet today, there are no cheap imitations of this one!

Summary: highly addictive, has to be said!

It is frightening when you put it like that - i biscuit and you need to swim 8-10 lengths to work it off !!

Why did you introduce these to me? I am now obsessed. We will have to keep the flat well stocked :)
