... taste of McVities Chocolate Biscuits" I enjoy my biscuit with a cup of hot coffee, as I like to dunk them to melt the chocolate, although at 84kcals each its a mistake to have the packet next to you as you can easily eat them one after another and before long a sizable chunk out of the packet has gone, therfore its probably better to limit yourself to 1 or 2 as a treat every now and again. At the moment these are selling for half price in Tesco at around 64p a pack which when you consider you get approx. 25 bisuc...more

Premium Review McVities Milk Chocolate Digestives: Chocolate Biscuit anyone? (543 words)

Now, normally things you remember from your childhood rarely are the same when you encounter them many years later, agreed? Things always seem a lot smaller than they once did when you were little and things you enjoyed eating back then never seem to taste the same nowadays. However, Mcvities Digestive Milk Chocolate biscuits, to me, taste better now than when I was younger and seem thicker than they were 20 odd years ago. I remember them to be quite thin things with only a scraping of chocolate on top whereas now they are chunkier with a much more generous helping of chocolate. I dont know if my memory is playing tricks on me, or whether the ...  Read the complete review

There are few pleasures greater, in life than relaxing with a cup of coffee and a biscuit, after a busy day or during work. I've had many snacks and biscuits over the years, but never have I encountered a cuppa companion as perfect as a good old choccy digestive. McVities chocolate digestives are the rolls royce of biscuits. There are cheaper brands which many people claim to be just as tasty, but the fact is that McVities are the best. Ingredients include wheat flower, sugar, milk chocolate, wholemeal and corn syrup. The texture of the McVities brand is by far the better choice for people who enjoy a good quality biscuit. With cheaper ...  Read the complete review

One of the most satifactory pleasures for me is a cup of tea with a biscuit, and recently after a long hard diet I decided to go back to my old ways and sample different types of chocolate biscuits, This was by best the far. Mcvities digestives are one of the top name brands in mass producing many types of biscuits. They come in a range of types such as plain chocolate, milk chocolate and Digestive(normal). The Biscuit itself is of a solid, crumbly texture which is beatifully executed, with the mcvities logo stamped onto the Side without the chocolate. The Chocolate covered side seems smooth with 'ridge-like' curves coming out. The first ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Best Biscuits (256 words)

McVities Chocolate Digestives are my fave biccies ever because they are lovely and chocolaty and the biscuit is so crumbly that they are proper nice to eat. My mum buys other brands of this biscuit but they're never as good and the very cheap ones are nothing like them. I think the chocolate and biscuit are perfect with each other and there is just enough chocolate on each one. Even though its milk chocolate it has quite a strong taste and goes proper creamy when it starts melting. This is best when you dip the biscuits into a cup of coffee because the chocolate goes runny and melts all over the biscuit. The biscuit has the best crunch and I ...  Read the complete review

Whilst I am happy with a Smartprice chocolate digestive from Asda, my mother wouldn't buy anything less than a name brand product. On visiting her at the weekend she kindly offered some sweet treats around whilst everyone was having a brew. These were one of the many things that I consumed that day and although it was very nice, I am paying for it now as I have gained a couple of pounds! Mcvities is such a well known brand that you know these are going to be good. I was actually a little apprehensive when they were offered because I didn't want to spoil the illusion in my head that Asda's were just as good! The biscuit itself consists of a digestive ...  Read the complete review
